CSR Contributions to Agriculture UPSC

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has gained prominence in India since its legal mandate under the Companies Act, 2013. With agriculture being a significant sector that employs nearly 47% of the workforce and contributes about 16.73% to the GDP, CSR initiatives aimed at agricultural sustainability are crucial. However, the effectiveness of these contributions is often questioned due to inadequate tracking mechanisms.
